"Step Up!" Program Manager
Program Manager
I played a crucial role in the success of the "Step Up" program, a 16-week initiative co-produced with Step Afrika! Over four-and-a-half years, I managed and enhanced the program by implementing strategic improvements aimed at optimizing its impact and effectiveness. This involved streamlining logistical processes and introducing innovative elements to engage participants. Additionally, I fostered collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that the program remained relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of the community.
In response to the pandemic, I successfully led the transformation of the in-person program into a virtual format.
Summer Concert Series
Program Manager
Demonstrating strong program management, I orchestrated several free concerts as part of a Summer Concert Series at the Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center. I oversaw artist contracts, on-site production, and post-event surveys for future improvements. Additionally, I represented Strathmore at multiple local festivals, curating engaging musical experiences for diverse audiences.
"Making Tracks" Summer Camp

As a dedicated Strathmore representative, I played a pivotal role in a dynamic six-week summer camp that prioritized language arts, math, science, and art education. For the two years I managed these efforts, my responsibilities included conducting comprehensive research and interviews to identify and secure highly qualified arts instructors. Through these efforts, I significantly contributed to providing students with a rich and immersive understanding of the arts, fostering an environment that not only expanded their creative outlets but also enhanced their overall educational experience. This fulfilling role allowed me to leverage my skills in research and communication to positively impact the camp's success, making it a rewarding and impactful chapter in my professional journey.
